Jehova-jireh!!

I am so excited to tell you about my new ride! Meet 'Brownie' (get it...she's brown?):

Brownie is an AMAZING answer to prayer and proof that God does indeed love to give good gifts to His children!

When we found out we were expecting our third little blessing, we immediately began to think about our vehicle situation. We knew that three in an Explorer would be tight, but we had no idea how tight until we, indeed, had three. We had NO money to put into a van, so our plan was to sell the Explorer and whatever we got out of it was what we were going to put into a van. When we started looking at blue book values and the cost of minivans, we got really discouraged. I didn't know what to do but to lift our need up to the Father. We got Jonathan in on the praying action with us and he started praying, on his own accord, "Dear God. Please bring us a minivan from the sky." Michael and I busted out laughing, because, in reality, it would take just about that to get one.

Well, it turns out that we did get a minivan from the sky! Michael's aunt had quit work to stay home and take care of her mother, so they had an extra minivan sitting around that they didn't need anymore. They almost donated it to a ministry at their church, but just felt that wasn't what they were supposed to do. They kept it, prayed about what to do with it, and thought of us! They called my in-laws to see if we'd even be interested, and their immediate response was, "Um...YES!" So Michael's aunt called us to tell us she wanted to GIVE us their minivan (totally free!), and I almost started crying! We called Jonathan in to tell him that God had given us a van out of the sky and he started jumping up and down. Brownie is valued at twice what we could have afforded! I never, ever thought I'd be this excited about driving a minivan. Getting everyone in and out is SO much easier, and it can fit the bigger, safer car seats that I prefer to use. Michael's aunts and grandmother drove her up to TN and we drove her back to Maryland last week after Thanksgiving. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Three M's! May God bless you ten fold for your incredible generosity!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, here are some fun pictures of our AMAZING time in TN:

Caleb taking advantage of an empty boppy:

Caleb is getting sweeter and sweeter everyday. I walked in on this precious scene and prayed Caleb wouldn't move until I grabbed my camera! Jonathan will play with Benjamin if someone else is interested in him (ie: Caleb) and Jonathan will pose for pictures, but with Caleb, it's all natural!

After much coaxing and cajoling from Jonathan, we finally got out some Christmas decorations. We made a "Christmas countdown chain" and we count down days until Jesus' birthday. Then, I read this in a magazine, but haven't done it before now. We made a "baby Jesus manger" (a shoebox) that we're filling with "hay" (construction paper) everytime we say or do something kind for someone else.

Jonathan gets REALLY excited about putting in hay, and is quick to recognize when someone else gets to put hay in. The last fun thing I'm doing this year is having our wise man "travel" toward the rest of the nativity throughout the Christmas season. Jonathan loves getting up in the morning and seeing where the wise men are!
After a busy night decorating, Jonathan and I sat down to read 'A Charlie Brown Christmas.'

I hope that you're enjoying this most wonderful time of the year, too!!

Love latest post! We all need to be reminded that God loves us and wants to give us all our hearts desires and when our walk with Him is right we will ask for our needs not our wants and then He will give us so much more than we could have ever imagined. You are an exceptional mom, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.
I do enjoy reading your posts. I am going to try writing down 3 things I am thankful for each day. What a great idea.
Love you.

We had so much fun at Thanksgiving. What a blessing to have my family at our house. Jonathan and I had a great time going bear hunting. Caleb loved making and eating the apple turkeys and what a joy it was just to hold Benjamin and feel his sweet breath on my cheek! I love you all!! Mimi
