Happy Birthday to my sweet Caleb. You are full of surprises and delights. I love you!!
Your birthday preparations started yesterday with the making and decorating of cupcakes.
Licking the beaters...your favorite!
Showing Daddy...the cupcakes didn't turn out as well as I wanted and at first I was really disappointed, but as soon as you saw what I had done, you smiled and said, "ELMO!" And all of a sudden, it didn't matter that the icing was lopsided and that the eyes weren't even...you knew it was Elmo and you liked it. Enough said.
(licking icing from the cup). Keeping you away from the "Elmo cake" was VERY difficult!Then, Bubba worked really hard on decorating your wrapping paper. He was VERY proud of it and couldn't wait for you to get your gifts.
The morning of your birthday we went to a Pumpkin patch with our play group. You loved the hay ride
and the animals
and the corn maze
and picking a pumpkin
Then you were really tired, so Bubba pulled you in the wagon.
We went home and you had a nice, long nap. After dinner, we invited our neighbors over and had cake!
Then...PRESENTS!!!
Ooooooohhhhh...light up shoes. Now you don't have to steal Ava's shoes at playgroup!
We didn't get pictures of your Elmo slippers, but you LOVED them and would NOT take them off for bed. You are SOOOOOOOO cute, running around, jumping up and down, all the while looking down at your slippers (you hit the wall a few times). The grin on your face makes EVERYTHING worth it. I love you sweet Caleb!!!!! Happy 2nd birthday!!!
