So, I've got to brag on God a little bit. Financially, this is probably the tightest we've ever been...but I haven't really felt the pinch (much ;>). Instead, the last month and a half has been an incredibly exciting journey where God has provided SO much for us. Mostly little things...little details that make life just that much sweeter. I'm reminded over and over again how He delights in blessing us: "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him." Matt 7:11
On with the blessings!!
On with the blessings!!
A swing from someone at church that I hadn't even met (but I have now!). Thanks, Heather! (oh, and this is random, but we also got a compost bin for free which I was wanting...you can see it rolled up underneath the swing):
Tons of picture frames from a thrift store down the road for $.10. Jonathan helped me paint the picture frames and switch plate covers with $.40 paint from Michaels. I'm having to do all of our decor SUPER cheap (as in $.10 cheap) but it's been REALLY fun. I kind of get a high when I find cheap stuff at thrift stores and refinish it...lame, I know.
This ADORABLE bookshelf was sitting out on the road for trash pick up. No, we're not dumpster divers, but after we nailed the back on and wiped this puppy up (mostly just to clean off germs, it wasn't dirty) this baby was as good as new...doesn't it just cry out to be put into a baby's room!? Too cute!
Yes, that's right...this is an ERGO BABY CARRIER!!!!! I was SOOOOOOOOOO wanting one and God provided one FREE, yes FREE through a friend that is moving soon (sniff, sniff). Thanks, Kelly!!
Peg Board for $.25 at a garage sale. Jonathan helped me paint it with, again, $.40 paint from Michaels (on sale).
Jonathan fell in LOVE with this mirror from a thrift store down the street. It was an awful brass color, so we painted it with the cheap paint from Michaels (LOVE that stuff!!).

This bookshelf was free on freecycle.
Free car jack and bench from our mechanic next door to make Michael's job a little easier. :> Our mechanic neighbor has also provided lots of free advice on Michael's (non-working) car.
We've also received another bookshelf from freecycle, two small bookshelves from friends from church, 12 super nice AIO infant cloth diapers on freecycle (!), and several other tiny things that I'll remember as soon as I publish this.
Now, we're just believing God for a mini-van (never thought I'd pray for that one!). All three car seats in my Explorer makes for a SUPER tight, SUPER challenging entry/exit, especially in the rain.
What blessings has God provided you with lately?
